Independent Learners ~ Reviews
Below is some of the feedback we've had from our independent learners of all ages around the world. We have removed the names of students and tutors.
I have organised and prepared language courses myself for decades but have never been able to produce anything up to the great standard of your courses. I am thrilled and delighted with what you have produced.
Furthermore, I have never learnt so much of a language in such a short time ever before, though I have studied at least twelve languages intensely, gaining seven degrees and a number of Senior Civil Service academic qualifications in linguistics and languages. I just cannot imagine why I did not study Latin years ago. The only reason is that I only got to hear of the CSCP this Autumn!
My tutor is splendid.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Latin I did. I found the course to be superbly structured and run. Thanks for all your help.
I can't tell you how much your helpful approach is appreciated.
Thanks for your help and support - I think the course is an excellent one.
My e-tutor is excellent; she is like a private teacher and many times I had the weird feeling that she sat at the other end of the line just waiting to answer to my e-mails. All in all, I have been enjoying it all along and could not think of a better method to learn Latin.
The course is great and I am sure it is better than being taught at school! I can rely on my e-tutor whenever I am stuck and I think
she has been and is teaching me as best she can, in this case excellently! I have built up a good relationship with her now and I am hoping to keep her as my e-tutor all through my Latin experience.
I've started the textbook work with my e-tutor (whom I must say is wonderful! Very informative and helpful!) The book and course are so far very good, I always look forward to doing the work and corresponding with my tutor.
I really enjoyed working through the book at my own pace and feel that I learnt a lot from the experience. I would definitely recommend the course to others.
We thought the course was brilliant and hope our son will continue as he is keen to do so.
May I ask, and I don't want to be rude or anything, but are you a real person or just a computer program?
Thank you also for a great program; I had a wonderful experience studying Latin in Book I.
I must say that I think the course is very well designed. I find the exercise a satisfying diversion, although you might not have planned it as such.
I would definitely like to continue onto Book II after this - learning Latin has been fantastic and I would love to continue.
I would personally like to thank you for all the help that you have given me over the past few years and I feel that you have helped me so much in developing my Latin skills which will further help me in my chosen career prospects.
I have very much enjoyed the course.
I came downstairs this morning at 8am to find my 8 year old daughter working her way through Stage 1! She went straight back to Stage 2 after breakfast. What can I say?!
It was fun submitting the lessons via email. The formal course gave me the jump start that I needed to delve into Latin (is that a mixed metaphor or what?), and I find the CLC books very interesting and fun to read.
Partly influenced by the Cambridge course, I have decided to switch my program at university from a specialist in French linguistics to a major in French linguistics
and a minor in Classical Studies, hopefully including Latin and perhaps a first-year course in Greek. I am staying on with the course because it is very user-friendly and a great way to learn Latin. Plus, my e-tutor is a very good teacher.
I really wanted to write to say thank you for being such a helpful and kind tutor. I have really enjoyed the last 3 years of Latin.
I have really enjoyed taking this course. I think I've gained a lot from it.
Thank you very much for all your online help. I have enjoyed this Latin course and feel like I have a lot more knowledge of not just Latin, but of how all languages work, which has already come in useful in English and French.
